I now have two vials of Protein Shots remaining from the last box that I purchased. The product was demonstrated in Costco about 4 weeks ago (I do not usually succumb to the demonstrators). This time, I held out for several weeks, but alas I gave in and purchased a second box.
Fast forward 3 weeks. This past weekend I learned that Red Dye #40, also known as “Red 40,” is an ingredient in this product. I became totally disappointed. I resigned myself to no longer purchase this product. I believe that is most disappointing for those who closely scrutinize what they’re consuming, is that this product is labeled as containing no preservatives. The only bad ingredient is the Red 40.
It then occurred to me that maybe I can make an appeal to the business, from a business perspective. That being said, I pose the following question:
Does this product have to possess a color, in order to be marketable?
1. If the product did not possess Red 40, the production cost per widget would DECREASE.
2. If the product did not possess Red 40, the total sales volume would (in all likelihood) would INCREASE.
3. Goodwill toward those who purchase health food would likely INCREASE as well.
You might also run this through a few focus groups. [Just run a few lots without the Red 40].
Thank you for your time in this matter.

We appreciate your interest in our Liquid Protein Product. This product is 100% digestible and quite advanced from a formulation stand point. It is truly unlike any other protein found on the market today. There are no preservatives in the product; however, a very minimal amount of food coloring is used to correspond to the flavor. If we did not use food coloring the protein would be light brown and not appetizing at all. Food coloring is found in some form in about 95% of food and beverages and has been proven safe by the FDA.
This product has been well received by the market place and hopefully you can enjoy the benefit of this unique product.

I had lapband done 12/08, down 48 pounds, but found myself not getting enought protein, Protein Shot with it’s 25 grams of protein fits into my daily diet without being a meal replacement for me. I have been a one woman recruiter for this produce so I hope your sales in Las Vegas are up! I do have a question for you, but not sure how to ask it. My doctor was okay with me taking this, but wanted me to ask what the stomach absortion rate is? Not sure if I am saying this right. What’s the percent of protein does the body pull from this drink and what is flushed out? One more thing, your website was hard to find and your information on your labeling didn’t help must. Company name on label doesn’t match up with search engines or your website name.

So far I like the product it is far less expensive then the HCG my wife and i have been on. The only question I have been unable to have answered is what is the actual percentage of Hoodia in this product? The pills that are avaialble at heath stores show the percentage on the contatiners.

I have been 232 lbs for a couple of years and BMI of 31%. After using the hoodia drink for a month, I only lost a total of 1 pound. Which did not make a difference in my BMI. The rep for Body Choice Nutrition made a good pitch and said I would get a refund if I was not satisfied. When I saw him 3 weeks later he said I should try it for another month to see a difference. I mailed in my upc and receipt to the office in Carson City and there had been “NO RESPONSE”. I emailed them 3 times and ‘NO RESPONSE”. Now I am trying this company blog. All I’d like is a good batch and the backing of the company with results of weight loss. Then I’d be a success story.
